Kiwi Essence Mask Sheet Pack from Beauty Friends [Review]

Hello Skin Care readers! Today I am going to talk about another mask sheet I just use, It is from Beauty Friends.

This was actually a freebie from BB Cream Shop there were 2 of these I give the other one to one of my friends for her to try too :)

So let me go down with the details of this essence mask sheet.

The mask is enclosed in a pouch which is a common mask sheet container. There is only 1 mask sheet inside every pouch (Sadly, we cannot expect more :( ... )

As you notice in the image that almost all of the product information is written in Hangul which is not really handy for buyers who cannot read and understand Korean Language, so myself too.

The only english information that I can see are the name of the product, content, major ingredients and the application.

At the back of the pouch there is also a visual demonstration on how to use the mask sheet. So that makes it easier to understand somehow.

This is me wearing the mask sheet
sorry for the unpleasant image here
I just want to show how it looks
once it is applied on face {{{

What it claims?

This water-soluble essence mask sheet pack is designed to deeply moisturize and condition the skin using concentrated natural plant extracts that help the skin absorb nutrients.

Major Ingredients:

It includes actinidia chinensis (commonly known as Kiwi)fruit extracts containing lots of vitamin C that help to soothe rough and damaged skin, make skin smooth and soft while it cleans and moisturizes.

I did a bit of research about the said Kiwi and here's what I found:
The fresh fruit contain 100-420mg Vitamine C per 100g and 8-14% carbohydrate.
Acidity is 1-2% mainly citric acid.

How to use:

1. Wash your face and soothe it with toning water.
2. Apply mask for 20-30 minutes.
3. Remove mask and do not rinse, Allow excess
     moisture to be absorbed.

Volume:                    1 sheet mask per pouch
                                         23 g

Final Thought

I have used this mask just once so please forgive me if I can only share a partial observance. I am uncertain as to what would be the result with the continous application/usage.

Once the mask sheet is on the face, it gives a cooling and refreshing effect on face.
After 30 minutes it indeed moisturize the face all through out the day, However, the after washing the face the moisture is gone.

This is only a 1 day or an 8-hour effect of moisturization.

CCCC  3.5 / 5

This was a freebie from BB Cream Shop so I did not pay for it.
I searched for its price and I found that it range from $1.00 - $1.50 each sheet but you can also get it a lesser price if you buy it like in 5 pieces or so.

You can get this @ BB Cream Shop in their online store.
Unfortunately they don't have a physical store so you have to do it online.

Skinfood - Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Toner in Review

Howdy everyone! It's been a while since I make a product review here in my blog and I do apologize for not doing so.
For the reason that I am on pregnancy period and my first and second trimesters were heavily terrible of morning sickness where I was not able to concentrate and everything were like dark clouds.

I am excited to share with you in my other post the stages of my pregnany (Link later).

Okay, so going to my featured product here Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Toner from Skinfood. I have used this toner for quite a long time now as you can see in the bottle it is almost at the bottom therefore I have enough observation on how this toner works in the skin.

This toner is one of the products in My Skin Care March '14 Wishlist I was so happy when it arrived in the mail that day from W2Beauty I was so pleased with how the shipping service I experienced it was absolutely excellent and that's one of the reason why I keep on doing transactions online with Alice :) of W2Beauty.

So let's start with the toner's packaging...

The content is enclosed with a breakable transparent green bottle for about 16 cm long.

It's cover is a metal one. And almost all of the product information written in it is in hangul.
The only english that you can see is it's product name, product brand, what it claims and some few major ingredients.

Aside from the metal cover inside it has plastic bottle corker that's making the toner totally safe inside.

What it claims?

Description: A carbonated toner with fresh unripe green apple extract that cleanses soap residue and skin impurities while tightening pores.

Major Ingredients:
Contains Cho Jung Carbonated water that hydrates and eliminates rough skin. It has fresh plants & fruits to keep skin healthy.

How to use:
After cleansing, pour onto a cotton pad & wipe skin gently, avoiding the eye & mouth areas. Reapply to oily/scaly areas if necessary.

Volume: 160 ml

Final Thought

The toner itself has pleasant smell of fresh green apple which I like the fruitness scent.

There is a bit of tingle feeling on the skin once it's applied but it does not hurt trust me :)

From what I notice many times, it does meet what it claims that it cleanses soap residue after i apply it to my face with the use of cotton pad it does show some amount of dirt even if I just cleanse my face using a facial wash, so that is true.

But with tightening pores that I am not certain I guess it does tighten some of my pores because I can still see some few open pores speciallt in my T-zone areas.

JI like this toner only that it is a little bit costly for me :) and I am still open on trying other products hoping to find which is more effective for my skin. And since this one I have now is almost up I am thinking of considering the popular toner from Etude House which is the Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner 250ml- 10 in 1. And I hope that it can help a lot resolving the troubles I have in my skin specially my big/open pores as well as share with you a review from my own experience.

My Weekend Getaway

Today's blogpost is totally beauty unrelated however as for me it can give a mind relaxation :)

The weather is getting nice & warm here in Hedel and all the people are busy doing things outside of the house specially in their garden.

While looking at them I realized how relaxing and revitalizing they are doing together with nature and I thought I want to do it too. It is not only fun it is also making the sorrounding beautiful and and nice.

Eventually, I went to the big flower garden here in the city in Intratuin where they sell many kinds of flowers and plants both outdoor and indoor. I enjoyed picking which one I want :) frankly I've got not as many as you can imagine but enough for in the house and for my budget.

Went home with these 7 different kinds of flowers and 2 pieces of cute cactuses.

Spanish Margarita

I have 6 Spanish Margarita in 6 different colors. There is yellow, pink, violet, pink mix with violet, orange and Red yellow.

Golden Daisy Bush

These are how they are after I transferred all of them into a nice indoor pot.

Cactus Mic + Strobloemen
 Cactus Mammillaria

These (photo above) are the 2 cute beautiful cactuses :)

After working with those flowers I undulged myself a homemade frappuccino. This is an immitation of Starbucks Frappuccino which I made it myself  my favourite specially in this warm temperature.

I spent my Sunday with this little cute guy. He is Timo a nephew of my boyfriend. I actually borrowed him from his parents and played with him for I think 5 hours.

It was fun having him at home, He likes to play the Turbo Helicopter toy as well as painting the colorbook :)

I had a fantastic weekend for the rest. How about you how did you spend your weekend? Please share yours in the comment below. Thanks everyone for reading  x 0 x 0.....

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimizer in Review

This post is an update to my post before regarding The Body Shop Cadeaubon t.w.v €10,- (Vrienden Loterij) I was planning to exchange the gift certificate for a Tea Tree Face Mask however when I went to the TBS store I change my mind the moment I found this Tea Tree Pore Minimiser.

I am going to share now to all of you why I chose this Tea Tree Pore Minimiser rather than Tea Tree Face Mask.

Also I'll share my experience and thoughts of this product. So, let's get it on...

The product is enclosed in a dark green container which is about 12 cm in length and 5.5 cm width.
It is a handy bottle which can also be considered as a travel bottle.

The details of the product are written in both English & French.

Infront of the container shows the name of the company, the product line, the product name as well as what it claims.

It is a squeezable container for dispensing the content.

It claims to be suitable for blemished skin. Pores look smaller, skin feels purer.
Smoothes, primes and instantly mattifies.

Major Ingredients:

How to use:

Apply after cleanser, toner and moisturizer to give an instant confidence boost.

Content:                                     30 ml

Final Thought

♡   ♡

I decided to get this pore minimiser because I have a large pores and I think that maybe this can help

lessen it. So I did give it a tryJ

Even though it was suggested to use it as a make up primer I included or shall I say I added it to my evening skin care regimen because it has a not good result when I use it as a primer. During my first use of the product as a primer when I apply the BB cream after it, it did flakes and it was so disgusting so I stopped it.

I change it, I apply the gel every night after toning my face and a few minutes comes the serum and the result was totally awesome, It feels refreshing on face and nothing like unpleasant result. I like it.

So far, I have been using this for more than a week now and I did not notice any changes with my pores I guess it will still take time for me to see the result but I don't mind if it won't minimise my pores I know and I understand that it won't happen in just a snap.

I like that it does mattify and smoothes the skin. It helps lessen the red spots of my face.
I also like its cooling effect on skin once applied.

Oh and before I forget the scent smells very herbally which is I prefer and lastly it has a good way of dispensing the gel much hygienic.

All About Tea Trea

I am having a troubled-skin ever since in my adolescence period and until now I am suffering from it.

You can name all to my skin like acne-prone, oily combination, sensetive skin, hormonal imbalance (as what people around me says)  I am honestly getting tired of this to be honest...

I am doing all I can to minimize and hopefully to dissappear these pimples and acne in my face because they look very disgusting and because of them I don't have much confidence to face other people in the public.

Have read a lot of remedies about acne and I almost tried all but this Tea Tree ingredient I haven't tried so far and that is why I am researching and gathering more information about it like what is really tea tree, why it can help treat acne and how can I use it.

What is Tea Tree?

It is an essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor and a color that ranges from pale yellow to nearly colorless and clear.(`source from wikipedia)

It is made from the leaves of the Melalucea Alternifolia, a native plant of Australia. You can find pure tea tree oil in health food stores and on the web, but it's also a common ingredient in products like face lotions, shampoos and toothpastes. (`source from Michelle Phan's blog)

Why it can help treat acne?

*It kills bacteria - It has a powerful anti-bacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. When applied to the skin it has the ability to destroy the bacteria(Propionibacterium acnes, the skin-dwelling bacteria)  involved in the development of acne.

*It helps combat skin problems with its natural cleansing, purifying and antibacterial action.

How to use it in an acne?

1. Apply directly tea tree oil to pimples.

Just a small amount of oil will penetrate the skin to unblock the sebaceous glands, disinfect pores and dry out whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and other blemishes.

  • To apply, pour a few drops of tea tree oil onto a cotton bud, cotton pad or tissue. Gently dab the tea tree oil onto any pimples or spots. Leave for a few hours or overnight. The redness and swelling should decrease.
  • Always apply to clean, dry skin.
  • Male sure to use 100% pure tea tree oil, not products containing tea tree oil.

2. Use it in homemade spot treatment.

If you find that pure, undiluted tea tree oil is a little too harsh or drying on your skin, try using it in a homemade spot treatment.
Simply mix a couple of drops of tea tree oil into a few teaspoons of aloe vera gel and apply directly onto the pimple you wish to get rid off.

  • As an alternative to aloe vera, try mixing tea tree oil with raw, organic honey. Honey also contains antibacterial properties and promotes skin healing.
  • Try storing these spot treatments in small-lipgloss containers for easy application.

3. Use it in a face mask.

A few dropsof tea tree oil can be added to either store-bought or homemade face masks to kill out bacteria and dry out pimples.

Here are some recipes for homemade face masks using tea tree oil.

a. Mix 3-4 drops of tea tree oil with 2 tablespoons of green clay powder, which can be found at most health food stores. Add enough water to turn your clay into a spreadable paste and give it a good stir. Apply the mask evenly all over your face and neck. Leave the mask on for atleast 20 minutes, until the clay dries and the tea tree works its antibacterial magic. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

b. Blend three drops of tee trea oil with a teaspoon of jojoba oil, then stir in half of a very finely chopped tomato. Mash together to make a puree. Apply this refreshing face mask directly to clean skin & leave on for ten minutes, before rinsing off with warm water and pat dry.

c. Add 5 drops of tea tree oil to 1/4 cup of plain yogurt & apply as a mask. Rinse off with warm water after 15-20 minutes.

4. Use it ina a homemade face scrub.

For an effective, acne-fighting face scrub try mixing tea tree oil with some other natural ingredients from your kitchen cupboard. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of sesame or olive oil, 1 tablespoon of honey and approximately 10 drops of tea tree oil. Gently massage onto damp face using circular motions for 2-5 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat your face dry.

a. This scrub maybe a little rough for people suffering from cystic acne but its perfect for mild to medium breakouts.

b. As both tea tree and honey are natural preservatives you can make this scrub in bulk and store in a jar in a medicine cabinet.

5. Add it to your cleanser & moisturizer.

A few drops of tea tree oil can be added to your daily moisturizer & cleanser to help combat stubborn pimples. Apply 2-6 drops, depending on strong you want it. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes!

6. Add it to your bath

Add a couple of drops of tea tree oil to your bath to help clear acne on your chest, back and other parts of your body. The oil will add a fragrant scent to your bath.

a. Breathing in the tea tree-infused steam can help to alleviate congestion, so you should also try when you have a cold.

7. Purchase some tea tree skin care.

Many, many brands have harnessed the anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of tea tree oil in their acne treating products. If you feel that the pure, essential oil is a little too strong for your tastes, buying a tea tree product maybe a good option. Tea tree cleansers, moisturizers and spot gel are particularly popular.

(`source from Wikihow)

I am going to try these steps, add it to my skin care products and skin care regimen. I know I have to be determined in following or doing this in my daily routine.

Hopefully it will have a good result in the future :)

I wanna know what tea tree products are you using currently and how it affects your skin in the comment below HJ...x 0 x 0
